Impacts of Leadership Style on Workplace Relational Conflict in Project Oriented Organizations

چکیده مقاله
This study have been carried out to evaluate if there is any considerable relationship between different dimensions of leadership styles (Transformational, Transactional and Laissez-Faire) and workplace relational conflict in project oriented companies in the field of oil and gas technology. Few studies have been conducted to reveal this part of research i.e. conflict in organizations considering the evaluation of leadership styles’ impacts on organizational conflict. For this study we considered different project teams working in Iranian oil and gas field of industries’ projects. The survey conducted by means of using a five point Likert scale questionnaire and the verification of developed hypothesis, the prominent SPSS software had been employed, especially the correlation and regression techniques. The results of study revealed that there are no relations between leadership styles with relational conflict except that management by exception-passive and lasses-faire leadership styles, positively effect on workplace relational conflict among employees. Finally there would be an importance for the manager of not using these two leadership styles in project oriented firms, if they want to reduce the amount of relational conflict in their organizations.
